Auto delete of pictures after a specified time period?

I'm trying to talk a friend into using Gallery, and server space is an issue. Is there an administrative function where you can set pictures to be auto deleted after say 15 or 30 days? I know you can limit file size and do re-sizes automatically but what about auto delete or clean up based on date?

an expire module is in development, but not yet ready / available.
