I have been thinking about installing Gallery on my website. However, my hosting company limits access to the .htaccess file, they say it's for security reasons. Because of this limitation, I have in the past been unable to install other software such as, password based security systems etc. Does this mean that I would be unable to use the Gallery software on my site too? |

you won't be able to use G2's short urls, but everything else will work.
and that's really ridiulous, a tiny little fraction of all webhosts have such a restruction. you can set up a secure webhosting environment without such a restriction.

I might consider changing hosts too!
