Creating Limited Access

Hi folks
the FAQ doesn't touch up tweaking G2 so that my gallery can be just that, a "look but don't touch" gallery. I want visitors, but I want them to have to register before viewing an album. I also disabled the User album feature, but I only want visitors to leave comments not create albums etc. Is this possible? If so what steps should I take?

browse to your gallery front page (not site admin, just the front page), and click "edit permissions", give the everybody group view and add comments permissions.
remove view all versions from the everybody group and add the same permission to the registered users group.

that's more or less what you want.
what i call "look but don't touch" is if a user could see thumbnails, but when he clicks on a thumbnail, he is asked to login / is shown a message as "insufficient privileges". but that's not yet available in g2.

is this available in g2 yet
