128 MB RAM is a joke today, really :)

performance / slowness has been discussed a couple of times.
FAQ: Is it my imagination, or is G2 slower than G1?
-> get a php accelerator (preferably eaccelerator)
-> get more RAM
-> make sure you use DMA for hard disc access and a modern 7200 / 10k RPM drive wouldn't be bad

Well I did have more RAM in it.. but I'm 4 hour drive from the server.. and my brother is near the server needed som RAM.. so he just took his owm RAM back.. :-)

I have tried the PEAR::APC accelerator.. but that gave me some problems when I deleted pictures.. I have written about that before.. but stoppede using the APC...
But do you have any good experience with some of the other accelerators that the FAQ talks about..??

Well... new and fast hardware is always good.. :-) But the server i just a old std. PC that I have standing doing nothing... so I was just thinking if anyone had some tweaks to server setup... if anyone have made these test I don't know...

A thing that I have thinking about.. could it be an idea to do some kind of loadbalancening on the thumbs/sized.. have a tread that checks if there is any new pictures to process... and new pictures just had a std. thumb saying the "Image is being process"...

eaccelerator should be fine, if you don't have a 64bit cpu, thus i recommended eaccelerator.
