Hi,

my visitors are complaining, that G2 is so much slower than G 1.5.1. when displaying thumbnails in albums. I could not find any thumbnails in the g2data-directory. Does Gallery resize every photo every time when it will be displayed? Is there a possibility to change that in the configuration?

Regards,
Phil.

thumbs / resized versions are stored on disk in g2data/cache/ ... in a non human readable format. but they are not generated for each request, no.

- install eaccelerator, this will speed up your g2 by a factor of about 10
- read:
FAQ: Is it my imagination, or is G2 slower than G1?
- upgrading your server hardware, more RAM, ... would help too
