Could someone clarify the functionality for me please????

HI -

I am just wanting to make sure that I understand how the gallery works. I installed it and it's working great.

My goal is to:

1. Scan a bunch of photos (500) at very high resolution so that they can be printed with good quality.

2. Upload the images to the server and have them made into albums with thumbnails, etc.

3. People can see the images at friendly file/sceen size in the albums, but when the click on the 'buy prints' link they can still get a good quality image.

So, if I upload a high-res scan of a photo:

1. what kind of resizing and re-compressing does gallery do to the image? (besides the obvious thumbnail!)
2. does the original file get retained on the server?
3. which image (original or resized) gets sent to the printing place? the original or the resized one? (would be better to have the original!)

Ok, I hope this question isn't too stupid! At least I got the thing installed without asking a bunch of dumb questions. Great app! thanks!

1) It puts it into a .sized (reasonable sized picture) and thumbnail.
2) Yes
3) I believe it's the full sized image, but I'll have to check. I'm a 99.9% sure it's the full sized image, it's the only one that makes sense.
