"Select favorite images" feature?

I'm currently designing a gallery based site for a pro photographer, and one of the things he does most often is have his clients select their favorite images from an image series (album). He'll only do post-production / print those images.

Currently clients will just browse through the image series, write down (or copy & paste) the names of the images and send them to the photographer in an email.

Is there functionality built into G2 that can streamline this process, or a module that adds this sort of thing? Like a checkbox next to each image that allows you to select the ones you want, and them submit your selects to the photographer who gets an email with them?

Seems like this is something that most working photographers would encounter, so I'm hoping that there is a ready-made solution. I've only been toying with G2 for a couple of weeks, so any help pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

There is a rating system in the works and should be released with 2.1 early next year. But it doesn't have the feature of selecting and emailing. Though maybe in the future it could tie into the notifications work being done so you get an email when a new "vote" is recorded.

If you just want ppl to be able to select a set of photos and email them you could possibly modify the PayPal and Email Checkout module: http://codex.gallery2.org/index.php/Gallery2:UserContributions#Modules to email a pre-defined user (like the photographer) instead of the user.
