Upgrade gallery2 also possible by overwriting excisting files?

Gallery versie = 2.0 core 1.0.0
PHP versie = 4.3.10 cgi
Web server = Apache/2.0.49 (Fedora)
Database = mysqlt 3.23.58
Toolkits = Exif, ImageMagick, Gd
Besturingssysteem = Linux srv90.flexwebhosting.nl 2.6.5-1.358smp #1 SMP Sat May 8 09:25:36 EDT 2004 i686
Browser = Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; nl; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051111 Firefox/1.5

Is it also possible to upgrade to version 2.0.2 by copying the files that need to be upgraded?

To be honest I don't understand everything of the upgrade procedure. I have never "patched" before.
As you can read/see I'm a rooky with these things. Any help is appreciated.

yes, that's the normal procedure. overwrite the whole gallery2 folder (and keep config.php, g2data/).

Are you talking about overwriting everything of the gallery directory?

What I meant was only the files that need to be changed. So only the ones that were in the upgrade package. I've downloaded them.

if you have 2.0 core module 1.0.0, you can overwrite just the changed files, yes.

if you have an older version, you'd have to download the full 2.0.2 release and overwrite all files.
