Is there a way of protecting your full size images, but give access just for a few people.
Let say I have photos of the fjords in Norway, and a travel magazine wants to use one of my photos in their online magazine.
When they visit my photoalbum, their will only be able to view a 640 * 480 photos, since they're "guest".
But is there some kind of way I can give them, and only them, access to the full size photo?
I was thinking of some kind of e-mail request, where they asks for permission and telling me what they are going to use the photo for.
And me as an admin, can easily grant them access or decline that request.
The secondary solution is probably to create a "specialguest" account with access to a temp folder. But that means that I have to upload and delete photos all the time..
So, any idea of how I can solve this?
Best Regards
Eirik

- you can create a special user and assign this user view all permissions while removing view original permissions from the everybody group
then, this magazine could use this user account...
- maybe you're ok if everyone can view your fullsize, as long as there's a watermark on the picture which clearly shows that the image is from you -> add a watermark
- maybe you want that the visitors from this magazine shouldn't see the watermark -> use watermark hotlinked images (url rewrite) and add the website of this magazine to the friendly webhost list in url rewrite -> setup
- there's not yet a module which does e.g. automatically login visitors from a special referrer.
