Is there a way to have large images on my site (say 1600x1200), but only allow unregistered visitors to see up to 800x600?

Alternatively, if I use the "Define Picture Size Limits" and set it to 800x800, say and check "Keep originals" will I still be able to upload the large images and leave them on the server in case I change my mind and want them to display larger?

there are no permissions by dimensions. but you can remove the "view fullsize/original" permission from the everybody group and add it to the registered users group.

sizelimit will delete the original on upload and replace it with a downsized version.

Got sidetracked for a few days. Thanks for the advice.

That's actually exactly what I was looking to do. I hadn't explored the group permissions yet. That's perfect. G2 is really so well thought out.
