Module that lists all keywords in the database to use for filtering? Good idea or bad?

Was wondering if this kind of a module would make sense? I have been spending the last 2 weeks tagging all of the pictures in Adobe Bridge before uploading to my Gallery Site. My site is going to be used for Friends/Family. I was thinking that in order to assist in the searching for people in the photos, if there was a list that was built already that they could select from, that would be awesome. That way they would know how I may have keyed a pictures they may want. Last Name/First Name/Event. Does this make sense? Is it even possible? Thanks for the feedback. Shawn |

Sounds like what you are asking for is a custom field (already available) which has a drop down list of possible options instead of (or as well as?) being able to put in a *new* name too?
