Is this Gallery Program right for me?

Hello, im a newbie here, so dont completely tear me to pieces. I'm trying to create a forum where you can view the gallery as a whole, or filter out pictures only containing certain people. is this possible? ive heard "custom fields" thrown around a lot, but i couldnt find anything else on it from the website. |

Sounds like Gallery would be good for what you have in mind. You can assign your pictures keywords and descriptions. Your viewers would be able to search for the photos that interest them. Although if you have tons of pictures the "Edit Caption" in Gallery 2 is a little bit of a chore. I did a lot of research before deciding to use Gallery myself, so far I am liking its features quite a bit.
