limiting users/groups permission - sorry i know it's been mentioned before

Hi,

I want to stop users from

a. deleting their top level album
b. changing the path and album folder name on the server

i know it has been mentioned in this post but I can't decide exactly what to edit in that .class file.

Also if i set the default image and thumbnail sizes at the very top level, will they override the individual album thumbnail and image sizes ?

it has been mentioned in a couple of topics already, yep.

there are no official means other than removing the "edit item", "edit permissions" and "delete item" permissions from the user's top level album to achieve this without hacks. and if you remove those permissions, all items the user creates have the same permissions.

if i remove those permissions as you say then they have limited permissions over anything they create within their own album. So that's not what i want..

Oh well guess i'll just need to hope that no one goes tampering with paths etc...
