I was not able to backup my v1.4.1-pl1 Gallery and had to use WGET to download the entire gallery. From what I can tell, this does not download the application, only the content. I want to install Gallery2 on my new website and then import the old screenshots. I would like to be able to import both the screenshots, captions AND comments if at all possible. Any advice on how to proceed? Thanks in advance. P.S. I browsed this forum but didn't see a search feature that would allow me to look deeper. |

Short answer, there are no application that can recovers gallery installation from a WGET. The only way to recover them will be to get customized script, which I imagine will be quite difficult.
Unless your album is small enough to manually enters those data, i believe you have lost all your comment and captions.
