I am using G2 for posting some videos, I found that due to the sizes of the mpeg files, we have to wait for a long time. And I know that there is no method to buffer the waiting screen forth video,(the video will be played very unsmoothly!!or just stop the movie and wait) I think that the video format for the iPod are in smaller size. So I would like to ask for support that can ffmpeg module help to generate the thumbnail and play those format in the embedded player, as i know that ffmpeg itself claimed that it support those video format. But I don't know how to configure that.

So any developer can tell me??

If ffmpeg supports the format, G2 does too.

funny you'd ask if ffmpeg supports 5th generation iPod files - in my case thats the ONLY files I can get to work. I hate this ffmpeg mod so much I'm ready to scrap my whole install and start fresh!!! I can't get mpeg/avi/rm/wmv recognized or working - and yet the m4v files (I basically ran all my mpegs through a converter called '3gp converter' to optimize them for iPod) - and voila, they now work in my gallery.
One problem - when I add the files from my local server, they somehow get 'duplicated' in gallery. So XYZ.m4v gets copied as XYZ_m4v and both files sit on my server.
I don't mean to unload all my ffmpeg and video frustration on you - I just wanted to let you know that I have that format working.
