Hello,

please excuse my poor english. I used gallery1, now i installed gallery2 and i cant find files:

picture.sized.jpg
picture.thumb.jpg
.

The FAQ says that sized/thumbs are generated on the fly using an Image Processing Library.

Is there a possibility to generate persistent thumbnails, because i want use them in a CMS (Joomla) for my articles. As i used gallery1 i created a symlink to the album directory and so i was able to use the gallery1-generated pictures in my articles and in a embedded gallery too.

I used the admin function to generate all thumbs, but it gave me cache\derivative\0\2\21.dat

Best regards

Hotzi

the thumbs are stored on disk. see:

http://codex.gallery2.org/index.php/Gallery2:Image_Size_Settings#Generating_Thumbnails_and_Resizes

these cache files are persistent. but you won't get files with "sized" or "thumb" in their name with g2.

use:
http://codex.gallery2.org/index.php/Gallery2:Modules:geturls
or right-click on images to get the url.

you can't handle g2 images with the mambo image browser.

topic moved to the integrations forum.

Maybe this could be a suggestion to implement, because i use this feature on varios sites it would be helpful to have this in gallery2 too.

People use gallery to post their images. I created a symlink to from joomla images to gallery1 album directory, so they can use the gallery pictures in their articles.

Hi, nice thing, but it seems that i can get only the full size images.

My primary goal is:

1.) Uploading an image using gallery remote
2.) Gallery creates some sizes: full, thumb, sized
3.) I can use those sizes in my articles, use the thumb size in the article, and open the full size on a click on it.

Best regards

Thanks for sharing this post. This is a very helpful and informative material. Good post and keep it up. Websites are always helpful in one way or the other, that’s cool stuff, anyways, a good way to get started to renovate your dreams into the world of reality. I will write more in detail after my <a href="http://www.testking.com">testking</a> exams very soon. Thanks!
