Argh! Please help! This is what appeared when I clicked the link to gallery on my website:

Error
Error (ERROR_PLATFORM_FAILURE) :
in modules/core/classes/GalleryTemplate.class at line 270 (gallerystatus::error)
in modules/core/classes/GalleryTemplate.class at line 222 (gallerytemplate::_initcompiledtemplatedir)
in main.php at line 318 (gallerytemplate::display)
in main.php at line 87
in main.php at line 80

Everything was working fine yesterday. The only thing I did the day before yeasterday that may have caused a problem is an Dreamhost uninstall of my original gallery installation. I one-click installed that one at www.mysite.com/gallery, tested it a little and had a few problems here and there. So when I decided to go with Gallery for my website I reinstalled a fresh version to work with at www.mysite.com/myphotos. I have used that installation ever since then.

When checking my dreamhost account the other day, I saw I had two installations and thinking one was redundant I deleted it. I have since used the working installation (at /myphotos) and there were no problems with it.

Today I click through from my site and get that error message. Any idea what's going on and how I can fix this fast?

Thanks for any help you can give!

I just noticed that the poster below this topic was having the same problem. Should I follow those instructions too? Did they work? Strange that we both had this problem at the same time. Help appreciated!

chmod -R 777 g2data

make sure the webserver can write to all files / subdirectories and subsubsubdirectories, ... of your g2data folder.
