Hi all!
First: you have developed really great stuff! (checkout module and obviosuly gallery )
Here are my question:
1) Which are the best practices to translate the checkout module? (I mean that I may translate it in Italian and after give you my translation so you can put it inside the module)
2) May I limit the maximum quantity of an item that someone may order during the checkout?
3) May I limit the maximum number of orders (also in different session) associated with the same email?
4) For which reason I should prefer to use the zipcart module (+cart module obviously) instead of checkout + checkoutmail ?
Thanks really a lot in advance,
hope to your from you soon.
Greetings from italy,
Filippo

1. http://codex.gallery2.org/index.php/Gallery2:Localization -- follow the directions there, but when you're done post the po file here or send it directly to turnbulm.

Dear Matt,
1) when I have done the translation I will send it to you as soon as possible! When you plan to release 2.1?
2) The restriction is per product, not per item or mix of items.
4) It would be wonderful to download the cart after the payment is done via paypal (obviously of the full quality images, with no watermarking). Or also via email when the site admin receive the payment he sends a link to the customer with the details of the download (a temp URL created only for this reason!) (peraphs too difficult this version). I have seen many rumors about this features. I think that it would be a very good step ahead towards commerce in gallery.
Matt, as I told you in a private message I wrote to you, I can pay you for this modification of your code. The code I am asking you to done will remain public (GPLed or whathever you want). Plus you get my italian translation because I'm gonna translate the module that I will use ;-)
Hope to hear from you soon, I have lived in 4 big cities here in Italy and I know what a mess is to move between houses. However I keep trying to have this work done, and I want you to do this because you are the man who made it and, I think, the only that has in mind the true potential of it.
Thanks again,
Filippo
