I've installed both, activated and configured them - all I get is a blank page when trying to "viewc art" - where did I go wrong?

Checkout the cart using Paypal
Incompatible module!
Core API Required: 4.0 (available: 7.1)
Module API Required: 0.9 (available: 3.0)

This is what I get with the latest build of Gallery 2.1

well, having waded through that for a while, I'm even more baffled - any danger of a translation?
To be frank, I'm on the verge of giving up with gallery - its horribly clonky, and I'm afraid plugins should plugin, and work! (rather reminiscent of the appalling Mambo!)

You don't have to download gallery 2.1. you still can use 2.0.2 which has no problem with paypal checkout module. 2.1 is now in pre relase stadium, obviously - there are still some things to be improved.

I am having a different problem. A couple weeks ago when I first loaded 2.0- the cart was working perfectly... I could get all the way through to the Paypal site and the "view cart contents" link on the paypal page showed the contents carried over from my site. Now when I get over to the paypal side and click the "view cart contents" I get a Java error. And right before we're about to go live with this stupid photography site, too. Does this sound like a strictly Paypal issue or did something fizzle out on my end?

All, the Checkout modules are current for the release versions of Gallery only. Currently this is 2.0.2. There is a major API change going on prior to the next release (2.1), and Checkout will support this version when it is officially released.

Should also have added that if you want to update to the CVS version, or 2.1 when it's released, I'd recommend you subscribe to the Checkout announcements list here. I will post an announcement as soon as the Checkout modules have been updated to support the new APIs.

There will be no further update - the revised modules won't be released until Gallery 2.1 is also released as a final (supported) version.
