I've been having some problems getting this question answered in some of the other forums. I want to upload video to my gallery and I'm hoping that I don't need ffmpeg to do this. I don't need thumbnails or the ability to edit the videos I just need a place to post them. You should be able to upload videos fine. ffmpeg is only required for thumbnails. You may need to enable filetypes in the MIME type manager module in site admin.
