How can i add a link on the index page to an external site?

Is it easy to do?

you can edit themes/{yourtheme}/templates/*.tpl however you like..

would it be easy to just add a link to the navigation bar on the left?
or alternativly make the logo at top left a link? Is this easy? I am a complete novice at this programming...

If it is a small piece of code could anyone write it on here?

i'd like to share mr_pr's question.

i just want a simple link to my blog on the index page and i'd hate to think i need to edit a .tpl file for every theme i want to use.

EDIT: I used search and found his post. Obviously, if I had just visited the forum before searching, I would have seen the solution on the main list of topics. So much for traditionally searching first. ;~)
