I have read through some of the notes about upgrading from v1 to v2.

Can someone just confirm, I am currently on v1.4.4 - if I go to 1.5 first (as suggested), and then straight on to v2, will I need to keep each version I create, so I end up with 3 lots of galleries on my webserver - I know I can then delete the old ones if required, but I am just thinking about space requirements as I upgrade.

Also a lot of my photos are linked to from elsewhere so I will need to go and update all these links, unless I can somehow overwrite my original gallery location with the new one, keeping the same URL?

Thanks in advance,
Tony

Upgrading to 1.5 is an in place upgrade, it will replace your 1.4.4. G2 will import from G1, so there will be two copies for a little while, but once its done you can delete G1. Gallery 2 has a tool to let most of your old URLs still work, just follow the instructions at the end of the import wizard.
