I am in the process of setting up a community site for all Gallery2 Embedded Applications. The site will become a common place for the Embedded Authors to meet, ask questions and pool our resources (Good idea hey) ;) I have setup a quick template for the site and working on the WIKI intergration right now.. I plan to migrate the WPG2 site to the new community site later on in this month and welcome other projects to do the same (if so desired) so we can pool support resources as well Test site is up and running -> http://www.galleryembedded.com/ and I request all G2 Embedded Developers to come over and post any ideas you might have in regards to this community and how they would like the forums setup and just any ideas they might have.. See you on http://www.galleryembedded.com/ Ozgreg.. |

GREAT idea, actually. Though I am not a developer of Gallery2, I am a software developer and have my horror stories trying to integrate G2 into a Joomla site with phpBB, all bridged. It's been touch and go, and community support is difficult to come by. If this site works like I think it will, we will finally have a place to discuss problems and share solutions. Much as I love Gallery2, their board is not very well organized for the community to use it effectively. They really need to work on that.
Please be sure there are forums for bridging with Joomla and phpBB. I am sure the other CMS and forum users and developers will chime in soon enough.
Thanks for setting this up! I've already joined.

The GalleryEmbedded Community (stage one) is up and running with the migration of the WPG2 + G2Image forums to the new site. Stage two featuring Subdomain pointing to a WIKI project page is almost completed, just a small icon issue + two bugs to resolve.
I expect stage Two to be ready by this weekend, so I am calling all Gallery2 Embedded project developers to come over to http://www.galleryembedded.com/forums/ and PM me so I can setup your project space and we can get the Embedded Community up and running..
Hope to see a PM from the Gallery2 Embedded Application Developers soon..
