Album setup and permission

Hello all!

I was wondering if anyone knows how to setup Gallery such
that when a user creates a new sub-album, it's added at
the beginning of the main album not at the end.

And, does anyone know how to setup Gallery so that a user
can delete his/her own Album? I noticed that a user can only
delete photos but not albums.

Any suggestion is much appreciated!

you can sort by creation timestamp, descending. then newly added things will be at the beginning. G2 doesn't currently have any option to use manual sort, but add new items at the front.

you can do "edit permissions" and grant permission to delete.

Thanks for the reply.

I'm not questioning sorting, though. What I wanted to know is if there's an option to set so that newly created sub-albums are placed at the front of the Main album and not at the end. I noticed that when I create a new album, it's always found at the end of the list. And by the way, I'm talking about albums, not individual photos.

Are you sure we're talking about the same thing?

I can't find anywhere in G2 where you can allow a user to delete
his/her own album other than photos.

Or I could simply just missed it.

Perhaps you can post a step-by-step process in how to set
that up; allowing a user to delete his own album.

but that is about sorting. if you'd sort by creation date, descending, then new albums appear at the beginning / top.

but if you're using "manual sorting", then items are always added at the end. you can file a feature request to change this.

deleting albums or items is all the same. just grand the delete item permission to that user on that album.
