URL rewrites problem with embedded gallery - is there a workaround?

Can I please draw the attention of anyone who can help with a workaround to G1>G2 migration rewrites not working in embedded mode, to have a look at this please,

and let me know if there is a workaround?
Sorry for the cross-posting, but no-one in the other forums, or the Wordpress forum, or the WPG2 forum seems to know how to fix this! Thanks
