Hi,

I have setup my site so that guests can see the thumbnails of albums, but must be registered to see the pictures. There are a few publically available pictures too, but doesn't really need mentioning. Anyways, i noticed that the option to "add album to cart" was still there and when i checked i realized that it didn't follow any of the viewing permissions I had set. So, as a guest i was able to add an album to the cart, and download the pictures without having permissions to see the pictures - thus defeating the purpose. I have read through some of the forums, without much luck. I found the documentation page here http://codex.gallery2.org/index.php/Gallery2:Modules:cart which suggests that there should be a specific permission that I can set. however, i don't have that permission showing up at all.

I have also realized that there are links to an upgraded cart module, but this appears to be for gallery2.1RC but i'm not ready to upgrade to a release candidate just yet. Can someone offer some help? Do i need to upgrade to fix this? Is the documentation wrong? Somewhere this seems like a major bug. I have considered going with the checkout module, but I'm not selling stuff. I just want people to be able to print on shutterfly and/or download.

you need to upgrade in order to use the current version of cart module that has an "add to cart" permission (and a "print to shutterfly" permission too).

OK,

Thanks for the tip. Can i upgrade just the Cart module, or do i need to upgrade my entire setup. Not that i don't love g2, but i didn't want to upgrade until a final version came out. Also, it would be really helpful if there was someway of differentiating documentation with which version they apply to. Obviously this was a "bug" in 2.0, but in 2.1 its not.

Thanks again

API changes in 2.1 make these plugins not compatible with 2.0.x. 2.1-RC-2a is very close to what 2.1 final will be, which will be out in a week or so.
