add standard EXIF comment by default

I'm using G2.0 and I was looking for a way to tell it to add a standard short message (e.g. "Picture taken by John Doe") to the EXIF comment field in each new image file that's created by Gallery, such as resized versions of uploaded photos, the thumbnails, etc. Perhaps even add or change the EXIF comment field to the original photos that are uploaded to Gallery.
Think of it as an EXIF comment watermark.

Is that doable with the current software? If not, is anyone working on this feature?
