Automate G1 -> G2 URL Mapping Only?

While this is more my fault than anything else in misunderstanding what the G1->G2 url mappings were (I thought they redirected the old gallery to the new one, when I plan on just deleting the old one). So I didn't run the g1-g2 option when I was importing my photos from G1 (over 10k photos :/). Not looking to do that again if possible. Is there a script out there to just build the G1->G2 Url maps? Assuming I know what I'm talking about now, if your old gallery had a link like : http://gallery.domain.com/myalbum, that gallery2 would properly redirect that url to the right album. Thanks, odd |

I'm a little bit confused. So, you want to recreate the g1 -> g2 mappings that you deleted? I don't think that anyone has written such a script because there was already a tool.
Do you have your old albums still? It might be possible to work something out.

yeah between deleted the few that were created, and the fact that I unchecked that box and the thumbnails generation for more than 2/3 of my pictures (11k image gallery takes a while to import), i was hoping i would not have to do it again...
like doing a whole new import without actually importing the albums, or something... or something that will simply look at the gallery 1 structure and insert the redirect info in the db without having to import....
I know the code is there, was hoping someone else outsmarted themselves then tried to save themselves time by totally rewriting the wheel
(worse part is that I've made changes to the new gallery, and deleted some extra photos and started redoing my descriptions... i know the easiest way to fix is to delete everything and start over again, but i think it took 3 days to get it all in... sigh

So do you or don't you have the original files?

i do have the original files... and have basically purged my G2 and have restarted my import
I'll likely hold on to my G1 files for a while just to make sure i'm not missing anything.

Oh, well, I was going to make some suggestions, but never mind. ;)
