Is this how it's supposed to work? Joomla w/ Gallery2

I installed and successfully configured Gallery2 through the web installation, then I added the joomla component to integrate it. Everything seemed to work fine. But when you click on the gallery you don't see much. I know, I know the answer is in the forums here, or in some other place, but I need help! My wife is after me, asking why we have this crappy page up with no content!

Ok, I read in the readme that I should be able to go to an admin page at this location

www.brookeandbrandon.com/gallery2/main.php?g2_view=core.SiteAdmin

But I get this error.

Security Violation

The action you attempted is not permitted.

Hi,

you have to create a new Menu Item > Menu Manager > New > Componente > Gallery2 and add the /main.php to the "URL to G2:" in the config, settings of the Gallery2 component (should be http://www.brookeandbrandon.com/gallery2/main.php)

As far as I know is index.php just a redirection to main.php.
