batch uploading?

i've just downloaded and installed gallery 2.x but i can't seem to find a batch uploading tool. is there one available for gallery? i checked throught the FAQ section for version 2 but didn't find anything.

You should simply explore, young padawan. Or how ever you spell that. You can use the "from local server" method, the "upload applet" method, upload a single zip file full of files in the "from web browser" or even the picasa import tool. So many methods! So little you have explored :/

actually, i've explored those options but can't seem to get them to do "batch" uploading. when i try to batch upload, it just times out. i'm probably doing something incorrect but i did explore. i searched through the FAQs and googled it, as well.

sorry to bother everyone with this question.

i again tried the "upload applet" option but it just timed out. i can't quite figure out how to use the "from local server" method. each time i create a directory for the images, it tells met that it doesn't have permission to read that directory (even though the directory is wide open, which, i don't like doing).
