1) How do you remove the "registration" link in gallery (or make the link go to the joomla registration page)?
2) How do you remove the first album (or owner+date)?

1) Deactivate > Site Admin > Modules > Registration Module
2) Have a look at /gallery2/themes/yourTheme/templates/album.tpl, search for:
showDate=true
showSize=true
showOwner=true
and set the wanted to false.
