Gallery works fine outside of joomla. When I add a menu item that links to the gallery2 component none of the pictures appear, it is as if the link to the pictures are incorrect. Just displays red x were a pic should be. I have been scouring the forums for solutions without luck. I would appreciate any insight that can be offered. The following is details regarding my install: Search friendly url's are NOT activated in joomla. Joomla! 1.0.8 Gallery2 2.0.2 com_gallery2_v2.0.12 Joomla install path: /home/mysite/public_html/home (http://www.mydomain.com/home) Gallery2 Install Path: /home/mysite/public_html/gallery2/ (http://www.mydomain.com/gallery2) I have entered “/home/mysite/public_html/gallery2/” for the full server path to G2 and it accepts it (configuration saved successfully!) I have tried to enter “../gallery2” for Relative Server Path to G2, when I try to save it says “configuration saved successfully!” and the field is blank. |

Hi,
have you tried ./gallery2 or /gallery2 as relative path?
Maybe a "clean" install will help - uninstall the component and drop the table jos_gallery2 and jos_gallery2_useralbums from your Joomla database.
I would recommend to update your G2 to 2.1.1 and the Joomla component to 2.0.13.

im not totally sure but I believe that the gallery bridge is not compatible with that version of joomla. I know there is a reason that I still use 1.0.7 and If I remember correctlly that is it. Hope that helps.

I finished doing what Kai said... Clean G2 2.1.1 load. I was taking the easy way out by using the fantastico install.
Now G2 is working with my Joomla! 1.0.8 install.
.... but I am getting an error in internet explorer (attached).
other than that everything seems to work... the user accounts sync up between Joomla and G2. This is cool.
I will keep my eye out to see if anyone else has encountered the IE script error that I'm getting now.
Thank you Kai and Mattyb for your responses.

Try to set $mosConfig_live_site to http://www.yourDomain.com instead of http://yourDomain.com in Joomlas configuration.php
I'm not sure but maybe this will help.

I changed the $mosConfig_live_site, but it didn't change the problem.
It is strange if click the link for G2 I get the error. If I REFRESH IE the error goes away... if I click another link then back to G2 the error reappears and goes away if I REFRESH IE.
