Add via Email

Hi, just found the "add via email" module on the contriub-SVN site. Installs fine but nothing happens.
THe archve doesn't contain any instructions. (Does it need a cron job, how is the "plusOne" triggered?

Any help?

Gallery version = 2.2-svn core 1.1.9
PHP version = 5.1.4 apache2handler
Webserver = Apache/2.2.2 (Win32) DAV/2 PHP/5.1.4 mod_ssl/2.2.2 OpenSSL/0.9.8b
Database = mysql 5.0.18-nt-log,
Theme=PGtheme,
Gallery-URL=http://lf-photodesign.de

find cobalt027 in IRC to ask questions.
the module is far from complete, he just checked in some initial code for an early code review.

It's been > 1 year since there were any posts here, I've downloaded and can create a new album when setting up the plug-in but it doesn't pull from the email account I pointed it to. I've verified the email credentials many times.

Any assistance is appreciated.

Any word on this module? I would love to be able to allow my users to text/picture message an email address to upload photos into their albums.

I setup this module. I configured it like it should be. It checks my pop3 mail box and deletes the mail from the box. But doesn't add the picture to the album.

What should and can I check to get this working?

Did you find a way to get this to work. I have the same issue.

I've noticed if I send my popped email address a photo via plain text via Hotmail. It actually works.

I haven't got it working but I also tried to senx a plain text email via hotmail and this works for me too!

Anybody any ideas?
