Tumbnails of two subalbums on the main page?

Hi all,

i'm a newbie in the world of Gallery trying to make a new theme customized for me. I've got two questions.

- How can I show tumbnails of two subalbums on the main page?

- How can I call photo.tpl from album.tpl with a child as the $theme in photo.tpl. I need to show just the first picture in centre and others as thumbnails on the right side if the album including those pictures does not include a subalbum. That means, in album.tpl, if $theme.children.canContainChildren = (false) then the photo.tpl must be called with the id of the first item in this album.
