"Preserve name" in Gallery2? How to rename photos during upload.

Hi, I read that in Gallery1 there was a way to rename files during upload (there was a "Preserve name" option to uncheck), but I can't find anything like it in G2. Is there a way to rename photos during or after uploading them (for example, photo1.jpg, photo2.jpg etc...)?

Is there anything being done about this feature? I guess it would be very useful to a lot of people.

I don't think there is any work being done, nor do I think anyone has made an RFE for it. So if you want the feature, you'll need to make an RFE for it then wait about 12-24hrs and vote on it.

I used to use the rename feature in G1 (it went aaa - xxx), but in retrospect I kind of wish I hadn't. Now, I just let it leave the name as what I upload it. Doesn't really seem to matter to me, and my camera picks stuff like "P100010101.jpg".
