Generic Migration among Title/Summary/Description

I use the iPhotoToGallery software to upload to G2. It allows setting the title and comments, but does not currently permit setting Summary. Title is usually left as the image name (DSC_XXXX), and "comments" function differently in iPhoto than in Gallery: more like a summary.

Is it possible to create an album edit module which allows generic operations on the Title/Summary/Description, which would allow:

1. Removing one or more of these (e.g., remove Title).
2. Move one to another (e.g., move Description to Summary, Summary to Title, etc.)?

Given the various semantics for these pieces of meta-data, it seems a common request is to transform from one type to another. Obviously they have different length limits, so truncation might occur, but I think it would help not just iPhotoToGallery users, but many users who have imported meta data with their images from a variety of sources.

Alternatively, would it be easier to create a tool to directly edit the database to make these types of changes?
