Javascript Detection

Is there a way for me to tell if a browser has javascript enabled or not in theme.tpl. I have the lightbox working on my theme, but to get that to work you have to change it so when you click on the thumbnail all you get is the picture. I would like to send people with javascript disabled to the normal page instead.
