Mambo / Joomla have Joomla Stand Alone Server (http://jsas.joomlasolutions.com/) and Wordpress has Xamp (http://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/xampp/). Each allows for tweaking the setup on your desktop before publishing on the web. Is there any such beast for G2?
