search block generating search_SearchBlock_init error

I found only limited reference to this on the forums. On my highly customized theme, I have this code in album.tpl:
{if $theme.params.showSearch }
<td align="right" width="150>
<div align="right" valign="top">{g->block type="search.SearchBlock" showAdvancedLink=false}</div>
</td>
{/if}
It is generating this error at the bottom of the pages when "{g->trailer}" is called:

// <![CDATA[
search_SearchBlock_init('Search the Gallery', 'Please enter a search term.');
// ]]>
