re-ordering album

Is there an easier way to change the order of photos in an album?

I have some albums with hundreds of photos and it takes a very long time to pick photos in Gallery Remote and click 'up' over and over and over to move them to the spot they should be.

Even using the Gallery web interface to "rearrange items" only lets you move one at a time.

There ought to be a way to grab, drag, and drop whole chunks of photos in an album so one could quickly reorder it any way one wanted..

Any ideas?
