Is it bad if my photos from my gallery have 777 and its album is 755?

I am using 1.5.4 my albums folder is 777. Is this good or bad? Is it bad if my photos from my gallery have 777 and its album is 755?

Well,

its not the best solution true. But sometimes you can't avoid this.
As some hoster to a "chown" (change owner) and thus those permssions have to be set. Otherwise the webserver couldnt handle the files.
