Please help, I posted this same question two days ago and came back today to see if there were any repies and now it says I never posted anything. :( I wanted (badly) to download and install Gallery. Before I do so, I am wondering if someone can tell me if Gallery has the capability of having the same layout as the one on Scrapbook.com, they are using PhotoPost. Their threads show above the gallery pictures, which is what I am looking for. Here's an example: http://www.scrapbook.com/scrapbook_layouts/index.php

Can someone please tell me if Gallery will do that same thing?

Also, I only want the gallery photos to show for their specific forums. For example, we have a "Scenic Photos" thread. This is where everyone posts their pictures of landscapes, seascapes, sunrises and sunsets, etc. Unfortunately, the pictures get lost in all the chit chat. That's why I am searching out a photo gallery option.

We also have a Member's Photos thread. I would like to do the same thing in that thread as well, but I don't want the Scenic Photos showing up in the Member's Photos.

Does that make sense?

Please help! :)

Thank you in advance,

G2 will not do this out of the box.
It looks to me like you are looking for some bulletin board software that has gallery? G2 has intergations to phpbb as well as others.

The rest does not make much sence since you are talkiing about threads (bulletin board software) and I only have experiance using this forum software and not intergating it with Gallery.

G2 is easy to install, why not try it out and if if fits the bill great if not it can be customized to your needs if you are willing to put some effort into it.

Thank you! Yes I am running VBulletin 3.5.1, which is actually how I found this software. I did a search in their forums and found this http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=111931&highlight=photo+gallery

I am hoping this will work the way I want it to.

That's weird. Your post count shows 3 but if I go and click on your user account to track your posts, then there are just the 2 posts of you in this thread.
No idea what happened there. It worries me a little.

Well what happened was I posted my original question, then after I posted it I saw the box below that said post a new comment. I didn't think that it had posted, so I clicked the post button again, thus creating a second but empty post. :-P So I edited that second post since there wasn't an option to delete it. I edited it to say that I had made a mistake and could someone please delete that post. Well I must not have been specific enough (meaning I only wanted the second post deleted) and they must have deleted that AND my original post. LOL

Anyway, I did in fact install Gallery, and after monkeying around with the hack that I found on VBulletin I don't think this is going to do what I need :( First it is requiring that everyone re-register with Gallery, that I definitely don't want, I want my VB usernames integrated. If you know of a way to actually integrate this software with VB 3.5.1 that would be great. After looking at the hack I followed, it SAID it would integrate it with VB but all it did was give it the look and feel of my forums. That's not what I needed.

What I am looking for is something similar to VBGallery, which I guess is now owned by PhotoPost and used to be owned by VBadvanced.

Let me know if I am mistaken as I would love to give this program a try :)

Oops, that was me. I apologize, I thought you wanted your whole thread deleted. I read your post a few days ago and something nagged at me and was like "humm, didn't I delete someone's post? Nah, this couldn't be the one cause the one I deleted the dude asked for it to be deleted!" :)
