.xml and .sql file extensions removed on my web server

I just signed up an account with Host Department.

I uploaded the Gallery2 tar file to my home directory and unpacked it. When I ran through the installation, it reported that a number of files were missing. Most of these files end with .xml and .sql extensions.

When I checked further, it appears that all .xml and .sql extensions are removed (not allowed?). For example, file "ReWriteMap.sql" becomes "ReWriteMap.".

Any idea what is the problem? Is there something the server admin needs to do?

I've already opened a ticket, but have not had a response yet.

Thanks!

please wait for the response my your webhost. probably they need to install g2 for you if they don't allow uploading .sql files.
