This is my first shot at Gallery, feel free to open up. Get rid of all those pent frustrations!! Not enough sex? The kids not getting ready for school? The dog eating the newspaper? Balding? Then feel free to release your tensions by giving me some feedback on this site http://www.nedkellyart.com

Cheers

Looks great. Having to click through the first page seems silly and unnecessary.
But nice job integrating Gallery into your site!

Thanks for that, I agree with the splash page - however I suspect that NedKelly's target market are a little less Internet savvy and are enamoured with cheap tricks  . Maybe I could set a cookie or something similar to allow return visitors to go straight to the gallery?

Hi

Nice start, more content would be good.

Other than that, since I know nothing about who Ned Kelly is, maybe your splash page could be re-arranged for those of us *less in the know* (or am I the only one)?

For example, what about putting your slideshow more to the left, and on the right putting a brief introduction blurb? Include your "Enter the Ned Kelly Art gallery" at the bottom of the introduction, maybe in bolder or larger text so that it stands out and that way anyone that is familiar with the site sees the link immediately and can move inside and those new to the site (or clueless about Ned Kelly, like me), could read the introduction before entering the gallery.

Also, descriptions on your photos would be a nice addition.

....just my two cents worth....take it or leave it. (but you have me doing a google search now to find out who this Ned Kelly guy was)!

Great, thanks for that. Yes maybe I'll try and incorporate a brief intro into Australia's most famous (albiet unknown in overseas quarters) bushranger try, outlaw et al Jesse James, Billy the Kid etc.

He is famous for a few things in Australia, he wore a suit of cast iron armour in a final battle with police in the 1880's. He robbed banks, rich people etc .

There is the soon to be released movie Ned Kelly Movie which may provide a better light (eventhough the movie has more fiction than fact) There is also this site which is about the most factual and informative on Ned on the net.

And I should have more images, once the guys who make the armour etc get some more stuff together. Do you think I should display the Ned Kelly tattoes I keep getting emailed? Maybe I could include them as an album?

And yes, descriptions are critical - I am just exploring 'Joan's' additional fields patch plus maybe some BB Code

Cheers
