.jpg upload: invalid image error message

Hello!

Everytime I want to upload a .jpg file I get the following error message:
Processing status...
- Adding 06200066.jpg
Error: Invalid image: 06200066_G.jpg!

But uploading a small .gif file works.
Could this be a wrong path in config.php?

I apreshiate any help.

Read and follow the directions in FAQ C.2 and report back with more details please.

Hi bharat,

Here is the Apache error log output:

This it what the Debug Mode shows:

Executing:

Results:

stdin: Image 0:

Error messages:

pnmfile: EOF / read error reading magic number

Status: 1 (expected 0)
Error: Invalid image: trance.jpg!

Manual execution of netpbm shows the following message:
pnmfile: EOF / read error reading magic number

I have 12 MB of free disc space.

Please let me know if I can provide any more details.

Ok, now you have to do the next step as described in FAQ C.2 (ie, run the command by hand on your server and see what the results are). Cut and paste your results here.

i have the same problem, on installation i got an oke with the netpbm but i can only upload gif images, on .png and .jpg i get error messages:
Error: Invalid image: x.jpg!

where do i find an apache error log file/
i only can locate an Web Server Statistics file.......

oke i found the appache Error Log Messages
so i figured out what was the problem was (permission denied) and it seemed to besolved no
thought i should let that know here before someone takes a lot of trouble........

I'm having similar problems... downloaded completely new versions of gallery and NetPBM... turned on debugger and this is what I get:

Not even an error message to work with. Any idea on what could be going wrong here? I haven't noticed anything strange in my error_logs

Did you manually try executing the command?
You verified that there is nothing in the error log relating to this?

I'm going to guess that since it doesn't spit out any error messages or
messages at all, you may have the wrong netpbm binaries (they aren't even
executing) or your path to them is wrong.
