why are some topics so wide?

For example,

http://gallery.menalto.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=phpBB_14&file=index&action=viewtopic&topic=5305&0

runs about 4 screens wide. And I note that this message will require a srcoll to the right to see it. Why are there not line breaks for a standard width screen in common resolution?

Also, legibility would be improved if these posting boxes had a 3 to 5 pixel padding so text is not scrunched up against the margin.

And while I am in complaining mode, why can't I track or subscribe to a specifi topic? I noted that I can subscribe to a forum but that's just asking for an irrelevant email every few minutes

Hello

The threads that are wider are usually because the code tag has been used to display a section of code.

The forum software that we're using doesn't allow subscription to a specific topic. It's oft requested, but sadly it's not something that I have the time to work on (gotta prioritize!)
