Hi all,

I'm trying to upgrade my gallery from version 2.0 to 2.1.2. I've extracted all the new files over the old, and run the upgrader up to step 3, where it gets stuck. The error presented is:

Quote:
Your upgrade cannot begin because some of your active modules/themes are incompatible or missing. You must either locate more recent versions of these modules or themes, or revert to your original version of Gallery. No changes have been made so it's safe to revert. If you have many incompatible modules listed below, it's possible that you downloaded a smaller distribution of Gallery than what you originally installed. You can download a larger distribution from the Gallery website.

Module simple is incompatible

I think it's saying that I need a new version of the "simple" module (which, I must say, I've never had a use for). However it seems that this module has been removed from the current release of Gallery. I've tried hiding the simple module directory, in which case it complains that the simple module is not found!

I can roll back if need be, but I'd rather find a way around it from here onwards.

If any further information is required, I'll be happy to provide it.

Many thanks in advance for your help.

module "simple" is a 3rd party module, it's not an official module.

obviously, you installed the simple module yourself.

your options:
1. rollback, uninstall the simple module, upgrade to g2.1.2
2. organize the latest version of the simple module compatible with g2.1.2 and resume the g2.1.2 upgrade

Thanks for the help - I'll try that. The reason I didn't try that earlier is that I don't remember installing the module - sometimes things get forgotten, I guess.
