Hi, Can someone please enable that option there? I believe it will boostup the translation process, since it'll make it more accessible. --Lior |

Someone mentioned something about a site like this before but for whatever reason we were unable to come up with a good way to tie it in with our system. We are not "aware" of Rosetta but are definitely interested in learning more about it. This would be great if it could tie in with Sourceforge's subversion system that we use for storing our translations. Do you know enough about Rosetta to explain how it might work for us? Thanks!

Basicly, Rosetta is the translation interface of all Ubuntu packages. It's able to produce po/pot files, and that is the only use for us. Its power is in its interface - no need of special software, just a browser, and anybody (with an account) can contribute.
I don't know the system enough to explain the possibilities of integrating it with subversion. One (very-) simple solution can be creating snapshots of the translated files, and uploading them to the SVN. Another solution is to move all the development to Launchpad (it has SVN and all), but it's not my place to advise on such big issues.

That's what I gathered from looking over the site. I'll bring it up at the team meeting this week and see if someone is interested in looking at this more in depth.
