Last page of albums not displaying

My gallery installation was working fine, however something has changed. The last page albums doesn't display anything below the navigation, although all the other pages display correctly:

http://antiqueradios.com/gallery/albums.php?set_albumListPage=11 Edit: I reordered one album, moving it to the end so that one on the last page would move up to the next-to-last page and be seen. After that all the albums show, but if I move the last one back to wheree it belongs, the last page is again blank.

There are albums that are on this page, and if one knows the URL they can access them:

http://antiqueradios.com/gallery/view_album.php?set_albumName=temp

I also can't move photos from one album to another. Either the popup window is blank, or else just the image numbers show and the album list doesn't (or shows only the first few albums and not the entire list).

One page 3, the last album, "Erla" has This album has been viewed 465 times since 12/15/2005. and none of the other albums have this. I find other small inconsistencies as well.

I checked the permission for all the files and directories and everything appears to be correct (I had to fix a couple of album directory permissions that had lost the world write bit). Apparently I have a corrupted file somewhere, but I haven't a clue how to figure out which one or how to fix it.

Maybe its:

FAQ: Why do I get the error Allowed memory size of Xxx bytes exhausted?

Can you check that in the logfiles ? Or your hoster can do that ?

I moved the album from the end back to where it originally sat and the last page agaain was blank after the navigation. I then immediately looked at the error log and there were no entries associated with the gallery in it. I also looked at the memory the server was using to see if there was anything using an unusual amount of RAM and to see what happened when the page was accessed and there was nothing unusual there. I then upped the memory usage from 8Mb to 12 and restarted Apache, no change.

Swapping the order of one directory shouldn't make any difference in the amount of memory required to display the page anyway, as there are still the same number of directories (two) to be displayed on the page. In other words, if I move the directory (Recordio) from position 112, where it should be, and put it at the end (152), the last page displays fine. If it sits in it's original place (112), then the last page is blank after the navigation with the last two directories not showing.

This used to work just fine, it just doesn't anymore, hence my thinking that there is a corrupted file somewhere.

Today I find that all my albums have reordered themselves. What was alphabetical is now in a random order. Obviously something is very wrong. Can I reinstall this script and keep all the images and comments intact from this installation?

Hello,

this is a known issue with Gallery 1 on high frequented installations or Gallery with a lot photos (for G1).
You use an older Version of G1. In Gallery 1.5.4 you have an option to resort your albums.

But the best solution in your case is to migrate to G2 which can handle 10k and more pictures much better.

I have the same problem with Gallery 2.3, with the one other difference that in my case it's page 2 of 3 pages that will not display. If I click on Rearrange for this album of albums a completely blank page will also come up.

foobah, please start a thread in the G2 forums. G1 and G2 are completely different programs.
