2 column mod and extra fields

I uploaded the 2 column mod, to my site, however it changed the extra_fields mod. I cannot view or post any of the extra fields.
How can i have a 2 column mod with the extra fields mod??

Some links might be useful. Not all of us knows every patch off by heart.

Is the 2 col mod a patch? If not, what is it? You could try going back to base gallery and installing them in the other order - 2 column, then extra fields.
